Unlocking elite sporting facilities for the East Midlands…

Leicestershire County Cricket Club has been working closely with GT3 Architects and Regen Partner for a £60m redevelopment of Uptonsteel County Ground which will transform the existing stadium and create new facilities for the surrounding community.

As part of the masterplan, we are introducing 100 units of affordable later life living, plus a health hub and new stand and hospitality works. We are also looking at the launch of an Academy of Cricket campus, that could host a wide range of academic activities including the world’s first MBA in cricket management.

The affordable later life living block, will generate just over £10M for the club. This will be used to cross finance the delivery of the new stand and hospitality area.
